How To Get Rid Of Belly Fat – High Antioxidant Foods To Keep You Healthy

Antioxidants help your body in many ways and are so important in keeping you healthy. From anti-aging to fighting off free radicals responsible for cancers and other diseases, antioxidants play a vital role and improve your results when following a how to get rid of belly fat eating plan.

It is common knowledge nowadays about the health benefits of some high antioxidant foods like Blueberries and Cranberries, but there are some foods that you may include in your how to get rid of belly fat diet that have much higher levels of antioxidants.

You will find that some of the foods with the highest levels of antioxidants are foods that you would maybe not have previously considered. For example, one of the top foods in the list is red beans and this is closely followed by a type of potato.

The red russet potato is one of the highest antioxidant vegetables around. The antioxidants are highest in the skin of this potato so it is best cooked in the skin and then eat the skin as well.

Steaming your vegetables is the best way to cook them and still retain the maximum levels of antioxidants intact. Where possible, eating your vegetables raw is the best option but I would not recommend eating either red beans or potatoes in their raw state.

One fruit or vegetable that does improve with cooking is the tomato and the good constituents in tomatoes are more readily absorbed and used by your body if eaten with olive oil.

Even some herbs and spices are high in antioxidants, the best ones to use include Oregano, Cinnamon and Cloves. Don’t forget nuts and seeds also, my favourite from the top 100 antioxidant list is are Hazelnuts, Pecans,Walnuts and Almonds.
